We’re looking for a confident, motivated Salon Manager to lead our established Great Clips team at Carpenter Crossings in Ypsilanti!

Our locally owned Great Clips franchise is looking for someone who enjoys working behind the chair, developing stylists, building a positive team culture, and helping a busy salon reach its full potential.

This isn’t a salon where you’ll have to build a clientele from scratch. We have an established customer base, consistent walk-in traffic, and an experienced team ready for a strong leader to help them grow.

What You’ll Do

As Salon Manager, you’ll lead by example while continuing to work behind the chair.

Your responsibilities will include:

Creating a positive, professional, and supportive salon environment
Coaching and developing stylists to improve performance
Setting clear expectations and holding team members accountable
Managing schedules and maintaining appropriate staffing levels
Monitoring salon performance, productivity, and customer service
Supporting recruiting, hiring, and onboarding
Handling customer concerns and employee conflicts professionally
Ensuring company policies and salon standards are consistently followed
Working closely with the General Manager to achieve salon goals

What We’re Looking For

Valid Michigan cosmetology or barber license
Previous salon management, assistant management, or leadership experience preferred
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Confidence in coaching employees and addressing performance concerns
Ability to lead by example and maintain professional boundaries
Dependability, organization, and a positive attitude
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
Passion for helping stylists succeed
