Position Summary

We are seeking friendly, energetic, and motivated Hairstylist Assistant to support our stylists and cleanse and treat area to ensure smooth daily operations in the salon. This role is ideal for cosmetology students, recent graduates, or anyone passionate about advancing their career in the beauty industry.

You’ll receive hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to our service standards while contributing to a luxury guest experience.

Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Support

Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service
Assist with shampooing, toning, treatments, and basic blow-drying
Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized salon environment

Stylist Support

Prepare stations and tools for stylists
Assist with color mixing and application prep (as allowed by Louisiana regulations)
Launder towels, capes, and linens
Help ensure smooth service flow throughout the day

Team & Culture

Uphold H2O Salon & Spa’s standards of professionalism, hospitality, and teamwork
Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities
Maintain a positive and proactive attitude

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a cosmetology program (preferred)
Passion for beauty, customer service, and continued learning
Strong communication and people skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
Weekend availability is a plus
