Role Description The Hairstylist will deliver a full range of hair services, including cutting, styling, coloring, balayage, blowouts, and extensions for a diverse clientele. Day-to-day responsibilities include greeting clients, conducting thorough consultations, recommending appropriate hair care and products, and maintaining a clean and organized workstation. The role involves building strong client relationships, managing appointment schedules, and collaborating with other team members to create a positive salon experience. The Hairstylist will follow salon protocols, uphold cleanliness and safety standards, and contribute ideas to enhance services and client satisfaction. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Crissel New York Hair Salon in Brooklyn, NY.

Qualifications

Demonstrated skills in Hair Styling, Hair Care, and a range of salon services (e.g., cuts, color, blowouts, extensions).Formal training or licensure in Cosmetology in accordance with New York state requirements.Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on creating welcoming, positive experiences for every client.Effective Communication skills, including active listening and the ability to clearly explain styles, treatments, and home care.Ability to work on-site full time, manage time efficiently, and maintain a clean, safe, and professional salon environment.Experience with curly hair services, balayage, and advanced color techniques is highly beneficial.Comfort working with diverse clients and hair types, and openness to ongoing training and skill development.Reliable, punctual, and able to collaborate respectfully within a creative team setting.
