Role DescriptionThe Hairstylist is a full-time, on-site position at New Concept Hair Studio in York, PA. The stylist will provide professional hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, and treatments while creating a personalized experience for every client.

Responsibilities include:

Consulting with clients to understand their hair goals and recommending appropriate services and home care.Performing haircuts, styling, color services, and treatments with attention to detail.Demonstrating knowledge and confidence working with curly and textured hair.Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.Following proper health, safety, and sanitation procedures.Building strong client relationships and encouraging client retention and rebooking.Recommending professional hair care products when appropriate.Contributing to a respectful, positive, and collaborative salon environment.QualificationsValid Pennsylvania cosmetology license or eligibility to obtain one.Strong skills in hair cutting, coloring, styling, and hair care.Knowledge and experience working with curly hair is required.Strong customer service and communication skills.Ability to conduct professional consultations and make appropriate service recommendations.Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills.Willingness to continue learning and stay current with industry trends, techniques, and products.Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain salon health and safety standards.Previous salon experience is preferred but not required for highly motivated candidates.Reliable, punctual, well-groomed, and professionally dressed.Maintains a polished, professional appearance, including styled hair while at work.Must be available to work weekends.Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to contribute to a team-oriented environment.What We ValueAt New Concept Hair Studio, we are looking for someone who is professional, dependable, passionate about hair, eager to grow, and committed to providing an exceptional client experience.
