Role Description The Hairstylist role at Salon St Martin is a full-time, on-site position based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Hairstylist will consult with clients to understand their needs, recommend styles and treatments, and provide services such as cutting, styling, coloring, and blowouts. Daily responsibilities include maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation, properly caring for tools and products, and following health and safety standards. The Hairstylist will build and maintain long-term client relationships through attentive customer service, active listening, and professional communication. Additional tasks may include recommending retail products, supporting front-desk activities when needed, and participating in team meetings or training to stay current with trends and techniques.

Qualifications

Proficient in Hair Styling and Hair Care, including cutting, coloring, and finishing techniques.Licensed in Cosmetology (or eligible for licensure) in the state of Florida.Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on client satisfaction and retention.Effective Communication abilities, including active listening, clear consultation, and professional interaction with clients and team members.Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following salon hygiene and safety standards.Willingness to learn new techniques, attend trainings, and stay current with industry trends.Reliability in attendance and punctuality, with flexibility to work peak salon hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.Previous salon experience is preferred but not required; a strong portfolio or examples of work are a plus.
