Responsibilities

Consult with clients to understand their hair goals and recommend suitable styles and treatments
Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling.
Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene in accordance with industry regulations
Apply color theory principles to achieve desired shades and effects for clients’ hair
Offer additional services like eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading to enhance client satisfaction
Upsell retail products such as hair care items and styling tools to boost store sales
Manage front desk duties including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and handling payments
Mentor junior team members to foster skill development and team cohesion
Stay current with industry trends through ongoing education in hair styling, barbering techniques like straight razor shaves, and new product lines

Skills

Proven expertise in hair styling, coloring, and advanced techniques like hair extensions and eyelash extensions
Strong knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for efficient operations
Excellent communication skills to understand client needs and provide personalized recommendations
Deep understanding of sanitation standards to ensure a safe salon environment
Ability to perform barbering services including straight razor shaves with precision
Experience in retail sales, upselling products, and retail math for inventory management
Skilled in makeup application, nail care, and threading services for comprehensive beauty solutions
Effective store management skills including front desk operations and mentoring team members
Knowledge of cosmetology laws and regulations applicable in the beauty industry
