About the position

Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg is seeking a part-time hairdresser to join its continuing care retirement community. The hairdresser performs salon services, maintains supply inventory and a safe, sanitary workspace, assists with reception duties as needed, and attends assigned meetings and in-service programs. Hours are Monday and Wednesday, 9:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Responsibilities

Perform beautician services, including shampoos, cuts, color, and perms.Maintain proper inventory of supplies and communicate the need for additional purchases to the Beauty Shop Coordinator.Perform general cleaning and maintain a safe and sanitary environment.Assist with receptionist duties as needed, including answering incoming calls, taking messages, scheduling appointments, and maintaining charge records.Attend meetings and in-service programs as assigned by the Beauty Shop Coordinator.Requirements

High school diploma.Cosmetologist license.Nice-to-haves

Experience working with the elderly.
