Hair Stylist/Lash Tech/Hair Assistant

Job Overview

As a Hair Stylist, Lash Tech, Hair Assistant, you’ll help clients feel confident through thoughtful beauty services and attentive care. You may provide hair styling, based on your skills and the salon’s needs. You’ll also support daily salon operations, from welcoming clients at the front desk to maintaining a clean, organized space. Your impact: By listening closely and delivering services with care, you help clients feel understood and leave with looks that suit their needs.

Responsibilities

Consult with clients, communicate service options clearly, and provide welcoming customer service throughout each visit.
Perform appropriate hair care and styling services.
Support lash services as assigned and within your qualifications
Maintain sanitation standards, prepare workstations, and help manage appointments and client records using salon protocol
Assist with front desk tasks, retail sales, product recommendations, and store management; use retail math to support accurate transactions and responsible upselling.
Collaborate with the team and mentor assistants or peers when appropriate.

Experience

Experience working in the beauty industry is valued; relevant cosmetology training or credentials may be required for services, depending on local regulations.
Knowledge of hair care, hair styling, hair coloring, color theory, and sanitation is useful.
Familiarity with eyelash extensions, hair extensions, straight-razor techniques, barbering, hair threading, makeup application, or nail care is a plus.
Strong communication skills, client communication, and customer service are important.
Salon software or MINDBODY experience, retail sales, retail math, front desk, store management, upselling, and mentoring experience are helpful.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
