Duties
Provide professional haircuts services tailored to each client’s preferences and facial features
Maintain a clean, sanitized workspace in accordance with salon health standards, including proper sanitation of tools and equipment
Engage with clients to understand their desired look, offering expert advice on styles, trends, and maintenance tips
Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, update client records, and manage daily workflow efficiently
Assist with retail sales by recommending hair care products, styling tools, and accessories that complement clients’ looks
Support front desk operations by greeting guests, managing check-ins/check-outs, and ensuring smooth appointment flow
Mentor junior team members or apprentices when needed, sharing techniques and best practices to foster growth within the team
Skills
Proven expertise in haircutting techniques for men and women using scissors, clippers, straight razors, and other tools
Strong understanding of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
Excellent communication skills to connect with clients and understand their styling goals clearly
Familiarity with salon management software such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client management
Ability to upsell retail products effectively while maintaining a focus on customer service excellence
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
