Responsibilities

Provide professional hair styling, barbering, coloring, and hair extension services tailored to each client’s preferences and hair type
Perform precise haircuts using various techniques including clipper work, razor cuts, and traditional scissors cuts
Apply hair color treatments based on color theory principles to achieve desired shades and effects
Conduct consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable styles or treatments
Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene by properly sterilizing tools and adhering to salon safety protocols
Upsell additional services such as hair treatments, styling products, or nail care to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
Stay current with the latest trends in hair styling, barbering, and beauty industry innovations through ongoing education

Skills

Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of diverse styles and techniques
Proficiency with salon software systems such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client management
Expertise in hair care products, hair coloring techniques, and application of hair extensions
Skilled in barbering including straight razor shaves and precision fades
Knowledge of sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
Excellent communication skills for effective client consultations and team collaboration
Ability to mentor junior stylists or barbers while fostering a positive team atmosphere
Familiarity with makeup application, hair threading, and nail care as complementary services is a plus
