Hair Stylist/Assistant

Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, color treatments, and hair extensions with precision and flair Assist senior stylists with client consultations, preparation, and service execution to ensure seamless salon operations Maintain salon cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations, including proper sterilization of tools like straight razors and implements Manage client appointments efficiently using salon software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms to optimize scheduling and client communication Provide expert advice on hair care products, retail sales, and upselling opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue Support front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, check-in/out procedures, and answering phone inquiries with excellent communication skills Offer additional beauty services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, or hair threading based on skill set and client needs Mentor new team members on techniques like color theory, sanitation practices, and retail math to foster a collaborative learning environment Previous experience in a professional salon or barbershop setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Knowledge of cosmetology or barbering licenses is highly desirable; ongoing education in hair styling techniques is encouraged Familiarity with salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar systems for appointment scheduling and client records management Strong understanding of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with diverse clientele and team members Experience in retail sales, upselling products/services, and store management practices will be considered an asset Ability to perform detailed work including hair threading, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care as needed
