Responsibilities

Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, trims, blowouts, coloring, and styling tailored to each client’s preferences.Execute precise barbering techniques such as straight razor shaves, fades, and beard grooming to ensure a polished look.Apply hair extensions and eyelash extensions with attention to detail and safety standards.Consult with clients to understand their desired look, offering professional advice on styles and treatments based on face shape, hair type, and current trends.Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with salon protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.Manage appointment scheduling using salon software like MINDBODY or similar platforms; assist front desk duties including check-in/out and retail sales.Upsell retail products such as hair care items, makeup, nail care products, and styling tools to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, coloring, threading, and retail sales strategies.Skills

Expertise in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring (color theory), and special treatments like hair extensions and nail care.Proficiency with salon management software such as MINDBODY; strong retail math skills for upselling products effectively.Knowledge of sanitation standards and cosmetology/barbering licensing requirements.Ability to perform precise barbering services including straight razor shaves and beard grooming.Excellent communication skills to understand client needs clearly and provide exceptional customer service.Experience with front desk operations, appointment booking, retail sales, and store management responsibilities.Skilled in hair threading, makeup application, eyelash extensions, and other beauty treatments to offer comprehensive services.Strong mentoring abilities to support team development in technical skills and customer engagement strategies.
