Duties
Assist senior stylists with hair styling, including blowouts, trims, and special occasion looks
Prepare clients for services by performing consultations on hair extensions, color theory, and hair threading techniques
Support with retail sales by recommending products such as hair care, nail care, makeup, and eyelash extensions to enhance client results
Maintain salon sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and ensuring proper sterilization practices are followed
Manage front desk responsibilities including appointment scheduling using salon software like MINDBODY and greeting clients warmly
Assist with store management tasks such as inventory checks for retail products and organizing supplies
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, upselling services or retail items, and fostering a positive atmosphere
Requirements
Prior experience or training in cosmetology or barbering is preferred but not required; a passion for learning is essential
Knowledge of hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care is a plus
Familiarity with salon software systems such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client management
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
Ability to perform sanitation procedures diligently to ensure a safe environment for everyone
Basic retail math skills for upselling products confidently and accurately
Willingness to mentor new team members and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends or evenings as needed
