Duties

Assist senior stylists with hair styling, coloring, and extension applications to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain salon cleanliness and sanitation standards to promote a safe and hygienic environment for clients and staff
Manage front desk responsibilities including client check-in, appointment scheduling using salon software like MINDBODY, and answering inquiries
Support retail sales efforts through upselling hair care products, nail care items, makeup, and eyelash extension services
Prepare clients for services by performing consultations on hair care needs, color theory applications, and recommending suitable treatments
Assist with specialized services such as hair threading, nail care, and eyelash extensions under supervision
Participate in mentoring sessions to refine skills in barbering, cosmetology techniques, and store management practices

Qualifications

Prior experience working in the beauty industry or a related customer service role is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for appointment management
Basic understanding of hair care products, hair coloring techniques, and sanitation procedures
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
Ability to perform or learn advanced skills including hair styling, hair extensions application, makeup application, and hair threading
Familiarity with retail math principles for upselling and retail sales success
Certification or training in cosmetology or barbering is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary licenses is appreciated

Pay: $15.00 - $27.21 per hour
