We are looking for a hair assistant that can extend that arm of our diverse staff to add to our clients genuine and unique experience. Hair assistants are responsible for: • Providing added support to salon Stylists and the Owner (including but not limited to transferring clients, updating client information, keeping Social Media updated) • Greeting current and prospective guests, offering a beverage, escorting to the restroom • Answering the front desk phone to assist guest with scheduling and basic questions • Assist with inventory • Upkeep of the salon • Administrative duties Beautybyumar.com's ideal hair assistant will be prompt, great at balancing daily tasks and carry a great attitude. A few qualifications for the above position include: • High school diploma accepted with some college or equivalent experience • Previous salon experience, cosmetology license, or a wig or extension specialist • Knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing documents • Ability to create organized filing system • Exceptional customer service skills and professional phone manner • Basic experience with Canva and other creative sites for graphic design work(not necessary) • Working knowledge of marketing terminology and practices • Overachieving attitude and enhanced work ethic Starting pay is $14.00 per hour with opportunity for growth.
