Responsibilities

Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, extensions, and texturizing treatments with precision and artistry
Consult with clients to understand their desired looks and recommend suitable hair care solutions tailored to their needs
Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly cleaning tools, stations, and salon areas in accordance with health regulations
Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently
Offer expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail upselling to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty
Demonstrate proficiency in specialized services like eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading to diversify service offerings
Mentor junior stylists and front desk staff to foster a collaborative team environment focused on outstanding customer service

Experience

Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a hairstylist or barber with a strong portfolio of diverse styling techniques
Knowledge of hair coloring techniques including color theory principles for safe and vibrant results
Skilled in using salon management software such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and client communication
Familiarity with sanitation practices specific to cosmetology, barbering, and related beauty services
Ability to communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and provide personalized recommendations
Experience working with hair extensions, straight razors, and other specialized tools preferred but not required
Strong retail sales skills including upselling products like hair care items, cosmetics, and nail care products
