Responsibilities

Consult with clients to understand their hair goals, preferences, and lifestyle needs, ensuring personalized service.
Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, hair extensions, and special occasion looks.
Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all workstations and tools in accordance with health regulations.
Recommend hair care products and retail items to clients through effective upselling techniques while providing expert advice on product selection.
Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and color theory to deliver innovative styles that exceed client expectations.
Mentor junior team members and assist in front desk duties to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent client communication.

Skills

Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of diverse hair styling techniques.
Proficiency with salon management software such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management.
Expertise in hair coloring, including balayage, highlights, and color correction; knowledge of color theory is essential.
Skilled in haircutting techniques for men and women using tools like scissors, clippers, and straight razors; barbering experience is a plus.
Knowledge of advanced services such as eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading enhances client offerings.
Excellent communication skills for engaging client consultations and building lasting relationships through personalized service.
Strong understanding of sanitation standards to maintain a safe environment for clients and staff alike.
Ability to manage retail sales effectively by upselling products like hair care lines and retail math skills for inventory management.
