Hair Salon Receptionist

Looking for a flexible part-time job in a fun, upbeat salon environment?

Rococo Hair Co. is looking for a friendly, organized receptionist to join our team at our Albuquerque location. This position is perfect for someone looking for approximately 8–12 hours per week with a schedule that works around school, another job, family, or other commitments.

Schedule

We're looking to cover Sundays, Mondays, and/or Tuesdays. You can work:

One full day
Two shorter shifts
Or split the hours between the days however you'd prefer!

The schedule is very flexible, and your hours can change week to week if needed. We're happy to work together to create a schedule that fits your life.

What You'll Do

As our receptionist, you'll help keep the salon running smoothly by assisting both our clients and stylists. Responsibilities include:

Greeting clients and checking them in
Answering phones, returning voicemails, and responding to text messages
Scheduling and ringing up appointments using our salon software
Assisting walk-in guests
Light cleaning and keeping the salon looking beautiful
Laundry and restocking salon supplies
Helping stylists with small tasks throughout the day
Monitoring inventory and letting management know when supplies are running low

Helpful Qualifications

Experience working in a hair salon or spa reception role
Current cosmetology student, cosmetology graduate, or licensed cosmetologist
General knowledge of salon services, color appointments, and scheduling

Because our receptionist helps clients book appointments, a basic understanding of hair services is highly preferred. Knowing the difference between services like highlights, balayage, root retouches, glosses, and haircuts helps ensure clients are booked correctly and allows us to provide the best experience for everyone.
