AVEDA is a brand that harnesses the power of plants in all of its products... from the shampoo, skincare to the hair color used on patrons.

Our owner has been a teacher and national Educator in color, razor cutting, curly cutting and skincare for major brands. Teresa loves "giving back" to students and new stylists to help them grow, and understands how to train from her vast experience working in salons across the United States as a trainer.

What you will learn: Extensions (UV light, hand sewn and tape in), classic cutting, intuitive cutting, dry cutting, and razor cutting. Texture services (permanent waving ... not the old school wave, the newest techniques of delivering texture (wave or curl) to hair. Balayage, highlighting, full bleach out (double process), corrective color, grey transitioning processes (helping guests transition to grey hair from previous color ). Skincare and AVEDA facials. We also have a permanent makeup artist who will let you shadow and observe.

Why you would apply for this position: If you are wanting to take the "fast track" to be able to work alongside experienced professionals, this is the path for you. You will be assisting our owner with her established clientele and possibly work your way to a position in our AVEDA Salon.

What you need: DRIVE. If you do not have hunger to be at the top of the salon industry, this is not the position for you. You must be committed to arriving on time, being present, organized, and professional. You must be willing to practice on mannequins, bring in friends and family as models to practice your skill set. Working as an apprentice, I will teach you everything I know and how to build a successful clientele through effective consultation and careful attention to your skills. I can build on what you already know and have the ability to help you grow from where you are. I know how to teach and how to train. Many of my former apprentices have worked with me, or now own their own hair salons.

This is an hourly position plus tip share.

Hourly rate to be established at hire, based on experience and work history .
