Hair Salon Assistant – Part-Time ($18–$20 per hour) + Tips

A|Z Hair Salon in San Juan Capistrano is looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated licensed Hair Salon Assistant to join our team.

We are currently hiring, and the right candidate can start immediately. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a salon environment, wants to gain experience, and is interested in growing their career in the beauty industry.

Responsibilities:

Shampoo and prepare clients for hair services
Assist stylists with color services, treatments, and other salon services
Blow-dry and style hair as appropriate
Prepare and clean salon stations between clients
Wash and organize towels, capes, bowls, brushes, and salon tools
Keep the salon clean, organized, and welcoming
Help answer phones and schedule appointments when needed
Greet clients and provide excellent customer service
Assist stylists and salon staff throughout the day

Qualifications:

Valid California cosmetology or hairstylist license required
Friendly, professional, and dependable
Strong customer service and communication skills
Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
Salon experience preferred, but not required
New graduates are welcome to apply

Pay & Schedule:

$18.00–$20.00 per hour + tips
Part-time now, with the possibility of becoming full-time later.
