Responsibilities

Perform professional hair extension applications using various methods such as tape-in, keratin bonds, clip-ins, or sew-ins to achieve desired looks.
Consult with clients to understand their hair goals, assess hair health, and recommend suitable extension options tailored to their needs.
Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety by adhering to salon sanitation protocols and using proper tools like straight razors and other styling equipment.
Provide expert hair styling, coloring, and finishing services to complement extensions and enhance overall client appearance.
Manage appointments efficiently using salon software such as MINDBODY, ensuring smooth scheduling and client flow.
Educate clients on proper extension care, maintenance routines, and retail products to maximize their investment.
Upsell retail products like shampoos, conditioners, styling tools, and maintenance kits to support ongoing client satisfaction and store sales goals.
Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and handling payments with retail math skills.
Mentor junior team members in extension techniques, customer service excellence, and sanitation practices to foster a collaborative environment.
Stay current on beauty trends related to hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, and threading techniques to provide innovative services.

Qualifications

Proven experience in applying various types of hair extensions with a strong understanding of different methods and techniques.
Certification or training in cosmetology or barbering is required; additional specialization in hair extensions is highly preferred.
Knowledge of salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment management and client records.
Strong communication skills to effectively consult with clients and collaborate with team members.
Expertise in hair styling, coloring (including color theory), makeup application, eyelash extensions, nail care, and threading is a plus.
Ability to maintain high standards of sanitation and safety using tools like straight razors while following health regulations.
Retail sales experience with upselling skills to promote products such as hair care items and accessories.
Store management experience is beneficial for contributing to overall salon operations.

Pay: $29.33 - $35.32 per hour
