Responsibilities

Provide professional hair cutting, styling, coloring, and grooming services tailored to each client’s preferences and features
Perform grooming services including straight razor shaves, beard trims, and hair threading with precision and care
Consult with clients to understand their desired look and recommend suitable hair care products or treatments
Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas, tools, and equipment in accordance with health regulations
Use salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail sales tracking
Upsell retail products like hair extensions, hair care items, makeup, nail care products, and eyelash extensions to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
Assist at the front desk by greeting clients, managing appointments, and ensuring a smooth flow of daily operations
Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, coloring, and customer service excellence
Stay updated on current trends in hair fashion, color theory, and new techniques to continuously improve service quality

Requirements

Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by local regulations
Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on hair styling and grooming services
Proficiency with salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling and retail management
Strong knowledge of hair coloring techniques, including balayage and highlights
Skilled in performing hair extensions application and eyelash extensions for diverse client needs
Expertise in sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
Excellent communication skills for effective client consultation and team collaboration
Ability to perform precise haircutting using scissors, clippers, straight razors, and other tools
Experience with retail sales strategies including upselling and retail math calculations
Knowledge of store management principles to contribute to overall salon operations
