Duties

Create a variety of braided hairstyles including box braids, cornrows, Senegalese twists, and more, tailored to each client’s preferences.
Consult with clients to understand their desired look and provide professional recommendations on hair care and styling options.
Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene by properly cleaning tools, implements, and workstations in accordance with salon protocols.
Use salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
Assist with retail sales by upselling hair care products, extensions, and styling tools that meet clients’ needs.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth front desk operations and excellent client communication throughout the day.
Stay updated on the latest hair styling trends, techniques including hair coloring, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care to offer innovative services.

Experience

Proven experience working as a professional Hair Braider or in the broader beauty industry with a focus on hair styling and braiding techniques.
Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management.
Familiarity with sanitation practices specific to cosmetology and barbering standards.
Strong communication skills for engaging with clients effectively and understanding their styling goals.
Experience working with diverse hair types and textures, including expertise in hair coloring, hair extensions, and hair threading.
Ability to mentor junior team members or apprentices in hairstyling techniques and customer service excellence is a plus.
Certification in cosmetology or barbering is preferred; ongoing education in color theory, makeup application, retail math, and upselling strategies is highly valued.

Pay: $190.49 - $229.40 per day
