Hair Braider and Natural Hair Stylist

We are seeking a passionate and talented Hair Braider and Natural Hair Stylist to join our dynamic salon team. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and staying current with the latest trends and techniques in hair styling. Perform a variety of braiding techniques including box braids, Senegalese twists, cornrows, and other intricate styles tailored to client preferences Provide natural hair styling services such as twist-outs, bantu knots, afro styles, and hair extensions application Consult with clients to understand their desired look, offering expert advice on hair care, maintenance, and suitable styles Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene by properly cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in compliance with salon protocols Use salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail sales transactions Assist clients with product recommendations for hair care, styling tools, and retail items to enhance their experience and satisfaction Mentor junior stylists or apprentices by sharing techniques on hair threading, eyelash extensions application, makeup application, and retail upselling strategies Proven experience in professional hair braiding techniques such as box braids, micro braids, knotless braids, or similar styles Strong background in natural hair care practices including styling with minimal heat or chemicals Knowledge of salon software platforms like MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management Familiarity with color theory for hair coloring services and the use of straight razors for precise cuts when needed Experience in retail sales including upselling products like hair extensions, nail care items, or makeup products Ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients while providing excellent customer service Prior experience mentoring team members or providing training on sanitation procedures, store management tasks or advanced styling techniques We value energetic professionals who are eager to grow their skills in a supportive environment that celebrates creativity and cultural expression.
