Hair Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant to join our dynamic salon team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for the beauty industry and demonstrate proficiency in various salon services. This role requires excellent customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and professionalism. The Assistant will support salon operations while providing exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities

Assist stylists with hair extensions, hair styling, coloring and haircutting services.
Manage front desk operations including appointment scheduling using salon software such as STX.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients, answering inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the salon.
Support retail sales by upselling products and assisting clients with their selections.
Handle basic store management tasks including inventory control and retail math calculations.

Qualifications

Valid cosmetology is preferred.
Experience with salon software systems, particularly MINDBODY.
Knowledge of hair extensions, color theory, and sanitation practices.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Background in retail sales with an emphasis on upselling products.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
