GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Hair and Beauty Stylist engages with guests, addressing their hair care needs and recommending tailored products and services. You will deliver high-quality professional services focusing on the guest's overall appearance. Supporting the Experience Manager (EM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM), your role emphasizes performance, guest service, and adherence to processes and procedures within the salon environment. You should have a passion for the beauty industry, a commitment to delivering excellent guest service, and a willingness to learn and share product knowledge.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Functions)

Performance

Provide a range of hair services, including hairstyling, cutting, coloring, treatments, and make-up applications.Achieve an average of $800 in weekly sales, contributing to salon goals by delivering exceptional guest experiences.Understand business dynamics to identify growth opportunities.Conduct product demonstrations to enhance guest experiences and drive sales.Execute in-store promotions and marketing initiatives to elevate guest satisfaction.Stay informed about new trends and products to better serve our guests.Maintain regular and prompt attendance.People
Build and maintain relationships with guests through comprehensive consultations and service recommendations.Exemplify superior customer service and high salon standards.Serve all walk-in guests promptly and efficiently.Collaborate with skin therapists and retail teams to enhance the overall guest experience.Establish professional partnerships to collaboratively deliver excellent service.Promote the guest loyalty program and mobile app benefits.Participate in mandatory training sessions for ongoing professional development.Process
Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards.Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols during services, maintaining state board guidelines.Follow established service protocols to ensure consistent guest experiences.Utilize booking systems effectively for appointments and events.Communicate any supply needs to maintain guest service readiness.Uphold high cleanliness standards across the salon and related areas.Adhere to the Ulta Beauty dress code.Protect company assets through adherence to loss prevention practices.Execute additional operational tasks as required.JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education
Current cosmetology license.Experience
Previous experience in a salon setting is preferred.Skills
Proficient in the latest techniques for hair services, makeup, and ear piercing (if applicable).Knowledgeable in the use of salon-specific equipment and chemicals.Able to effectively demonstrate, recommend, and sell hair care and makeup products.Excellent communication skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Capable of fostering strong customer relationships and building clientele.SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Flexible schedule availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Frequent mobility during shifts.Ability to lift/move up to 10 lbs. consistently.Frequent bending, reaching, and crouching.Capability to stand for extended periods.Frequent hand coordination for tasks.

The pay range for this position is $12.00 - $16.80 per hour, or services pay, based on various factors such as education, experience, and location. Associates may also earn overtime and tips from service guests. Eligible full-time associates receive paid time off and comprehensive benefits, including health and dental coverage. Part-time associates may also qualify for specific benefits.
