We want to be upfront: this is a fast-paced, high-responsibility role and it won't be the right fit for everyone. Struggle to stay calm when plans change, a stylist is running behind, the phone is ringing and a guest is standing in front of you. Don't naturally notice the little things—an empty drink, a guest who looks confused, a schedule that's about to become a problem, or a teammate who needs help. You do not need salon experience to be successful in this role. What’s harder to teach is the ability to make people feel cared for, stay composed when the room gets busy, anticipate what needs to happen next, and take pride in being the person your team can count on.
