Salon Service Group Springfield, Missouri

We are looking for an FP&A professional to join our Finance team, reporting directly to the CFO. This is a full-time onsite role, effective July 21, 2026. In this position, you'll be central to our financial planning, forecasting, management reporting, and business performance analysis. You'll develop financial models, automated reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to boost reporting accuracy and efficiency. We're seeking someone with a strong foundation in accounting and finance, advanced analytical and financial modeling skills, and the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights for executive and operational decision-making.

## What you'll do

You'll lead and support the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes. This includes developing and maintaining financial models for forecasting, scenario planning, cash flow analysis, and strategic initiatives. You'll prepare monthly management reporting packages, variance analyses, KPI dashboards, and executive presentations for senior leadership, the Board of Directors, and other stakeholders. A key part of the role is designing, developing, and maintaining automated financial reports, dashboards, and analytical tools using advanced Microsoft Excel and other reporting technologies to improve accuracy, efficiency, and consistency. You'll analyze financial and operational performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to executive leadership. Partnering with Accounting, IT, Sales, Operations, and other business leaders will be essential to improve reporting processes, data integrity, and decision support. You'll support the preparation of Board of Directors presentations, lender reporting, private equity sponsor reporting, and other executive-level financial analyses. Maintaining and enhancing ERP financial reporting modules while supporting system implementations, enhancements, testing, and process improvements is also part of the role. You'll monitor and analyze key performance indicators, develop and maintain performance metrics, and recommend opportunities to improve financial and operational performance. Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data, management reports, and analytical models is critical. You'll identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and leverage technology to improve efficiency. Additionally, you'll support strategic initiatives, special projects, acquisitions, and ad hoc financial analyses as assigned by the CFO, and develop, maintain, and document automated financial reporting processes, models, and analytical tools to ensure scalability, consistency, and continuity within the Finance organization.

## What we're looking for

We need advanced financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including Power Query, pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling, report automation, and dashboard development. Experience developing automated financial reports and improving reporting processes through technology and process automation is important. A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting is necessary. Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools is required; experience with Qlik, Power BI, or similar business intelligence platforms is preferred. Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must, with the ability to present financial information clearly to all levels of management. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail are also essential. You should be able to build effective working relationships across Finance, Accounting, IT, Sales, Operations, and executive leadership. We value self-motivation with a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for leveraging technology to increase efficiency. Experience with AI-enabled productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or Chat. GPT is a plus. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment is key.
