Role Description The Facilities Manager/Handyman at bello Salon Suites is a full-time, on-site role based in Sacramento, CA. This position is responsible for day-to-day upkeep of the property, including routine inspections, minor repairs, and general maintenance of salon suites, common areas, and building systems. Typical tasks include responding to maintenance requests, handling basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry needs, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with external vendors for specialized services. The role also involves maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, monitoring building supplies and equipment, and ensuring that all facility issues are resolved promptly to minimize disruption for tenants and clients. The Facilities Manager/Handyman collaborates closely with management to prioritize work orders, support openings or transitions of suites, and uphold the overall appearance and functionality of the salon space.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with general building maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills.Ability to perform routine repairs, preventive maintenance, painting, and minor fixture installations safely and efficiently.Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize multiple work orders and complete tasks with minimal supervision.Effective communication skills to interact professionally with tenants, clients, vendors, and management.Knowledge of safety practices, building codes basics, and proper use of tools and maintenance equipment.Capability to lift and move moderate loads, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in a hands-on facilities environment.Experience in commercial or multi-tenant property maintenance preferred; hospitality or salon environment experience is a plus.High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certifications in maintenance trades are beneficial.
