Elixirs by Janet Dolney Salon is seeking an experienced hairstylist or independent beauty professional to join our growing team in the heart of Midtown Sacramento.

Responsibilities

Provide professional hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, blonding, texturizing, and specialty treatments.
Conduct thorough client consultations and recommend services based on individual goals, hair type, lifestyle, and maintenance preferences.
Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and product knowledge.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation in accordance with salon sanitation standards.
Build and maintain strong client relationships that encourage retention and referrals.
Educate clients on at-home hair care and recommend professional products when appropriate.
Collaborate with fellow beauty professionals to foster a positive and welcoming salon culture.
Manage appointments, client records, and daily scheduling through salon software systems.
Represent the salon professionally both in person and through social media and marketing efforts.

Qualifications

Current California Cosmetology License.
Minimum of 3 years of professional hairstyling experience preferred.
Established clientele is preferred but not required.
Experience with advanced color services, blonding, balayage, extensions, or specialty services is highly desirable.
Strong consultation, communication, and customer service skills.
Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
Professional appearance and commitment to maintaining a high standard of service.
Active social media presence and portfolio of work preferred.
