Somer’s Salon & Spa – Elmwood, LA
Pay: Starting$15–$17 per hour, depending on experience (plus bonus Opportunity)
Schedule: Tuesday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays
Somer’s Salon & Spa is looking for an experienced receptionist to manage our front desk, support our team, and assist with sales in Somer’s Boutique.
This is not an entry-level position. Previous receptionist experience is required, and salon or spa front desk experience is a strong plus. This person must be pleasant, outgoing, and comfortable starting conversations with guests. The right candidate will also be dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to learn new systems quickly.
Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming experience
Answer phones, messages, and appointment inquiries
Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments accurately
Check guests in and out and process payments
Encourage rebooking and assist with service questions
Learn our services, pricing, policies, and salon systems
Assist boutique shoppers and recommend merchandise
Process boutique sales, restock products, and maintain displays
Keep the front desk, waiting area, and boutique clean and organized
Complete daily opening and closing responsibilities
Requirements:
Previous receptionist experience is required
A pleasant, outgoing, and welcoming personality is required
Salon or spa front desk experience is preferred
Retail or sales experience is a plus
Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
Comfortable learning scheduling and point-of-sale systems
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
Available Tuesday through Friday and occasional Saturdays
