Duties

Perform a wide variety of braiding styles including intricate cornrows, box braids, Senegalese twists, and more, ensuring each client’s vision is realized with precision.
Consult with clients to understand their hair goals, preferences, and any specific needs related to hair extensions, coloring, or threading.
Maintain a clean and sanitized work area by adhering to strict sanitation protocols and using tools like straight razors responsibly.
Use salon software such as GlossGenius to schedule appointments, update client records, and manage retail sales efficiently.
Offer expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail sales opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
Assist in store management tasks including inventory control of hair extensions, coloring supplies, and styling tools.
Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, coloring, threading, and customer communication to foster a collaborative environment.

Experience

Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a professional braider or hairstylist with a strong portfolio of braided styles.
Familiarity with sanitation standards specific to cosmetology and barbering practices to ensure client safety.
Strong communication skills for effective client consultation and upselling retail products related to hair care and styling.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
