Position Summary

We are seeking a professional, licensed esthetician with a passion for skincare, wellness, and hospitality. The ideal candidate is results driven, knowledgeable about the latest trends in skin health, and skilled at building lasting client relationships. This role will provide customized facials, waxing, and other skincare treatments in a spa-like setting designed for our private club members.                                                                                  Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform a variety of skincare services including facials, dermaplaning, enzyme peels, waxing, lashes, and brow treatments
Conduct personalized skin consultations to assess member needs and recommend treatment plans and homecare routines
Maintain a clean, professional, and inviting treatment space
Uphold the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and client confidentiality
Maintain accurate treatment records and client notes
Collaborate with other wellness team members to ensure a seamless guest experience
Educate members on skincare products and support in-club retail goals
Assist in promoting seasonal specials, packages, and add-on services
Attend trainings and stay updated on new techniques, products, and trends

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Valid California Esthetician License
Minimum 1–2 years of experience preferred (new graduates with strong training will be considered)
Proficient in customized facials, exfoliation techniques, and waxing
Knowledge of professional skincare lines and ability to recommend appropriate products
Exceptional communication and hospitality skills
Detail-oriented with excellent time management
Flexible availability, including weekends or evenings
Experience in a luxury spa, wellness center, or club environment a plus

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Mobility: The role may require frequent movement, including: walking, standing, bending, kneeling, or reaching to clean and wipe down equipment, counters, folding towels, and move laundry bins.

Lifting: Occasional lifting of supplies, equipment, or inventory items may be necessary up to 50 lbs.
Manual Dexterity: Ability to use hands and fingers for tasks such as typing, writing, operating computer systems, handling paperwork, and managing inventory.
Vision: Clear vision and ability to read written documents, computer screens, and equipment displays are essential for reviewing reports, analyzing data, ringing up transactions, and assessing operations.
Hearing: Good hearing ability is necessary for effective communication with staff, members, guests, and vendors.
Stamina: The role may involve long hours and extended periods of activity, especially during peak business periods, special events, or club holidays and programs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Indoor/Outdoor Setting: The majority of work is performed indoors, in treatment rooms, at front desk, and laundry room area. 
Temperature: The work environment may vary in temperature, depending on the location and season. It may include both heated and air-conditioned areas.
Noise Level: The work environment can be fast-paced and may involve moderate to high levels of noise from gym music, group fitness class music, and general noise from members talking, machines operating, and weights being used.
Pressure: The role often involves working under pressure, especially during our busiest times, 6am – 11am and 4-7pm typically on weekdays. Weekend mornings for the Wellness Spa are busy client times.
Interaction: Regular interaction with staff, guests, vendors, and other department heads is common, requiring effective communication, interpersonal skills, and diplomacy.
Safety: Adherence to health and safety protocols, including wearing gloves when: handling laundry, using chemicals, cleaning equipment, when checking locker rooms. Awareness of surroundings is key to keeping self and others safe. Keeping the treatment rooms clean, tidy and presentable at all times is required.
