Digital Content Producer

Rachel Eggie Baton Rouge, Louisiana $15–$35 an hour

The Role

Rachel Eggie Gibbs is a hair and beauty creator with 435K Instagram followers and the founder of EGGIE Salon Studio in Baton Rouge. Her audience is mostly women 25 to 44 who come to her for honest hair advice and tutorials from a working stylist, and her followers trust her because she sounds like herself. Part of her community found her through her tutorials for women growing their hair back after chemo, and they are still a loyal part of the audience.

We need a content producer to help plan, create, and run Rachel’s Instagram, about 8 to 10 hours a week. This is creator social, not brand social. The right person can authentically capture another person’s voice while creating engaging, on-brand content that connects with a beauty-focused audience You’ll work with our Director of Brand and Marketing, who sets the strategy, and execute independently day to day. The goal is to grow the audience, strengthen engagement, and create content that drives both brand awareness and sales.

What Already Works on Her Account

Educational how-to Reels are the reach engine. They far outperform pretty-result posts.
Face-to-camera teaching with a strong spoken hook in the first line. Think "most people do this wrong."
Post-chemo and regrowth content is her most watched and most emotional. Handle it with dignity, never pity.

What You’d Do

Plan and run a weekly content calendar of 2 to 3 Reels or carousels
Write captions, hooks, and on-screen text in Rachel’s voice, from her voice guide and voice memos
Edit short-form video from Rachel’s raw footage and schedule the posts
Create shoppable content tied to Shopify store
Support sponsored posts from brief to delivery, including FTC disclosure
Track performance monthly and recommend what to do more of, less of, or differently

What You Need

2 to 3+ years running content for a creator, founder, or personal brand, not only corporate accounts
A portfolio of Reels and captions you made, with results you can speak to
Strong short-form editing (CapCut, Premiere, or similar) and a proven ear for someone else’s voice
Warmth and sensitivity writing for an audience that includes women in or recovering from cancer treatment
AI proficient

Bonus: hair or beauty experience, Shopify or social commerce, and based near Baton Rouge for occasional in-salon shoots (remote is welcome).
