Duties

Assist licensed cosmetologist.
Prepare clients for treatments by performing consultations, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools, equipment, and workstations in accordance with health regulations.
Operate salon software systems like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, update client records, and manage daily operations efficiently.
Mentor new team members by sharing knowledge on hair coloring techniques based on color theory, hair threading, and other salon services.

Skills

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Knowledge of hair styling techniques including the use of straight razors and applying makeup.
Familiarity with sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
Basic understanding of retail sales strategies and upselling techniques to enhance client experience.
Ability to perform specialized services like hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, and hair threading confidently.
