## What We're Looking For

We're looking for a rockstar hair stylist educator who brings both skill and personality. Ideally, you have a **preferred minimum of 1 year experience** as a hairstylist or cosmetologist trainer or educator in a hair salon, barber shop, or spa environment (but if you know this is the job for you, don't let that deter you). You must hold a **current and valid state Cosmetology license**. Strong organizational skills and the ability to drive a positive, learning-focused culture are essential. You're able to communicate effectively in both best and worst situations, find solutions for all, and have a proven track record of stellar customer service. You can pivot easily with finesse in even the most difficult moments and multi-task with ease.

## Qualifications

**Minimum:** High school diploma or GED; current Cosmetology license; **2+ years' experience as a stylist**; computer skills to learn new systems quickly, with proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to maintain confidentiality; excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

**Preferred:** Minimum qualifications plus experience in multi-unit/multi-state retail operations and consumer products organizations, and bilingual Spanish.

## Responsibilities

- Support surrounding Drybar shops and team members with auditions, training, understanding of new products, retail supplies, and shop compliance. Implement problem-solving strategies and execute tasks with impeccable delivery.
- Manage service quality by upholding Drybar standards, performing quality control checks, providing feedback to shop management, and reporting observations to senior leadership.
- Facilitate consistent and effective training for all shop team members in accordance with Drybar standards.
- Conduct and lead orientation training for new hires—covering proper blowout techniques, new hire paperwork, onboarding, services offered, and client experience. Ensure training is completed within 3 days for new hires and 1-2 days for rehires.
- Identify ongoing training and developmental needs for stylists, recommend areas for development, and celebrate successes.
- Provide in-person shop support and complete a minimum of 20 blowouts weekly to lead by example and increase client count.
- Conduct stylist interviews and auditions to assess technical capabilities.
- Train team members on new products and tools, and communicate promotions to clients and stylists.
- Serve as a leadership team member, assisting in managing shift leads, stylists, and bartenders. Ensure understanding of the team member handbook, state supplement, and all policies.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, federal/state/local regulations, health department, and cosmetology board standards.
- Adhere to timekeeping policy and report all hours worked, including any off-premises work.
- Monitor shop inventory, assist with stocking, and support inventory management as directed.
- Provide weekly staff information on styling services and product launches. Assist with administrative tasks as assigned.
- Provide sales and training feedback, education results, and metrics to management.
- Participate in Area Shop Educator and leadership conference calls to address business needs around technical education and drive sales.
- Provide ongoing advanced education and ensure stylists meet the 45-minute blowout requirement.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries within 8 working hours.
- Participate fully in meetings, trainings, and team-building events.
- Follow company policies and procedures.

This role requires the ability to adjust teaching techniques to inspire a diverse audience with a wide range of learning styles.
