Role Description The Cosmetologist at PS Salon & Spa provides professional hair, nail, and basic spa services to residents in a senior living community, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and dignified experience. This part-time, on-site role is located in Tempe, AZ, and involves performing services such as haircuts, styling, coloring, manicures, and other salon offerings appropriate to residents’ needs and preferences. Current and active state cosmetology license in Arizona and eligibility to perform hair and nail services in a professional salon setting.Demonstrated skills in hair cutting, styling, and color application, with the ability to adapt services to diverse ages, hair types, and mobility levels.Experience with basic nail care services (e.g., manicures, polish application) and familiarity with senior-appropriate spa offerings.Knowledge of infection-control, sanitation, and safety practices within a salon environment, especially in senior living communities.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, show empathy, and provide respectful service to residents and families.Ability to manage appointments, process payments using point-of-sale systems, and follow community and company procedures reliably.Comfort working as part of a multidisciplinary team, including senior living staff, and openness to ongoing training and product education.Previous experience in senior care, hospitality, or a customer-focused salon setting is preferred but not required
