Role Description The Cosmetologist is a full-time, on-site role based at Bodean’s Classic Cuts and Color in Trussville, AL. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing haircuts, coloring, styling, and other salon services according to client needs and preferences. The role involves consulting with clients to recommend styles and treatments, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and following health and safety standards. The Cosmetologist will manage appointment times, support front-of-house operations as needed, and contribute to a positive, professional salon atmosphere. Building strong client relationships, encouraging rebookings, and promoting salon services and products are key components of this role.

Qualifications

Current cosmetology license in the state of Alabama and completion of an accredited cosmetology program.Demonstrated skills in hair cutting, styling, and finishing techniques suitable for a variety of hair types and client preferences.Proficiency in hair coloring, highlighting, and corrective color services, with attention to detail and client safety.Strong client service and communication skills, including active listening, professional demeanor, and the ability to provide personalized recommendations.Ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards, including proper tool disinfection and adherence to salon and state regulations.Reliable time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a full schedule and support a fast-paced salon environment.Comfort with promoting salon services and retail products, and willingness to participate in ongoing training or education.Previous salon experience is preferred but motivated new graduates with strong technical skills will be considered.
