Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Cosmetologist role based at Angel Shears in Jacksonville, FL. The Cosmetologist will provide hair cutting, styling, coloring, and treatment services, as well as basic skincare and makeup services as needed. Day-to-day responsibilities include consulting with clients to understand their preferences, recommending appropriate styles and services, and delivering high-quality results. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized workstation, following health and safety standards, and assisting with scheduling, product recommendations, and client check-out. The Cosmetologist will contribute to a positive salon atmosphere, support team members, and help promote salon services and retail products.

Qualifications

Valid Florida cosmetology license and compliance with state board regulations.Demonstrated skills in hair cutting, styling, coloring, and treatments using current techniques and tools.Ability to provide basic skincare and makeup services, with an eye for aesthetics and detail.Strong client consultation and customer service skills, including active listening and professional communication.Commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in all services and work areas.Ability to work part-time with flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends as needed.Professional, reliable, and collaborative approach to working in a team-oriented salon environment.Previous salon or spa experience is preferred, and ongoing interest in continuing education and trend awareness is beneficial.
