Cosmetologist

Sabrina's Parlour, a historic in-house full-service hair and nail salon located in Olde Towne East, Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a licensed cosmetologist and/or nail artist to deliver luxury spa-style services. This role offers flexible client-based scheduling and competitive pay with options for W2 employee commission-based pay with opportunity for growth, or weekly booth rent as an independent contractor. The salon features a state-of-the-art hair and nail salon environment in a historic home setting, a full product line, free parking, retail commission, continuing education reimbursement, and paid time off benefits. Services include haircuts, color, hair extensions, fantasy color, hair thinning solutions, facial waxing, manicures, pedicures, nail enhancements, and custom nail art. Looking to fill a Tuesday through Sunday part time or full-time position. Sabrina's Parlour is where historic beauty meets modern elegance.

Responsibilities

Perform hair styling, cutting, coloring and, optional updos, extensions
Provide nail services including manicures, pedicures, enhancements, and custom art if interested/licensed
Conduct facial waxing treatments
Deliver excellent customer service and client pre and post consultations
Maintain sanitation and safety compliance
Manage appointment scheduling efficiently
Collaborate with a close-knit team of stylists and technicians
Promote and sell retail beauty products
Engage in continuing education and in-house training opportunities

Required Qualifications

Current Ohio cosmetology license and/or nail technician license
Completion of an accredited cosmetology and/or nail training program
Proof of independent contractor license/insurance for booth rent option
Experience in hair, nails, and/or facial waxing
Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a home salon setting with salon therapy dogs
Willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience ranging from entry-level to multiple years in cosmetology and/or nail services
Skilled in hair cutting and coloring techniques
Proficient/willing to grow in nail enhancements and custom nail art where interested/licensed
Knowledge of facial waxing techniques if applicable
Strong client communication and time management skills
Adherence to sanitation and safety standards
Teamwork and retail sales experience helpful
Capability to work independently and manage client-focused scheduling

Pay: $35,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
