Commission Hairstylist

Duties Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, extensions, and special treatments such as eyelash extensions and nail care.Consult with clients to understand their desired look and recommend suitable styles and products based on hair type and personal preferences.Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety in accordance with industry regulations, including proper use of sterilization tools like straight razors.Utilize salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking.Upsell retail products like hair care items, makeup, and accessories to enhance client results and increase revenue.Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, checking in appointments, and answering inquiries with excellent communication skills.Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques on hair threading, coloring theory, and advanced styling methods to foster a collaborative environment.Skills Proven expertise in hair styling, coloring techniques, and the application of extensions or eyelash enhancements.Strong knowledge of salon software for efficient appointment booking and client management.Deep understanding of color theory to achieve customized results tailored to each client’s skin tone and preferences.Skilled in sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff alike.ProffExcellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients.Ability to perform retail math calculations for upselling products effectively while maintaining store management responsibilities.Knowledge of nail care services and makeup application is a plus for providing comprehensive beauty solutions.
