At Amulet, Stewards’ commissions well-exceed not only the Knoxville standard, but also the national standard. We believe that uncapped commissions honor & reward all of the care that a Steward pours into their clients, even behind the scenes. We use one metric: Revenue. The allows a stylist to work a schedule that balances personal with professional while ensuring that a Steward would not make more at another salon nor through suite rental.
Amulet is a hair salon and self-care sanctuary in Old City, Knoxville, TN, built for stylists who want more than a chair to rent — a Circle to belong to. We're looking for a licensed hair stylist who takes pride in their craft, connects genuinely with clients, and wants room to grow their book, their income, and their skills in a supportive, low-drama environment.
What You'll Do
Provide expert haircuts, color, and styling services tailored to each client's hair, scalp, and lifestyle needsConduct thorough consultations for every guest, including returning clientsRecommend and educate clients on retail products to support their at-home hair careMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitized station in compliance with Tennessee cosmetology board standardsBuild client relationships that lead to strong rebooking and retentionParticipate in ongoing education and training opportunitiesQualifications
Active Tennessee cosmetology license (required)Experience in haircutting, color services, and client consultationStrong communication and customer service skillsReliable, punctual, and able to commit to a consistent scheduleRetail and product knowledge a plus (Oway, Arete, Cult+King)Experience with color correction, balayage, or extensions a plusCompensation & Benefits

Amulet is open Wednesday–Sunday, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM, with flexible shift options (opening, closing, or full-day). Weekend availability preferred.
