Responsibilities

Rent and maintain a designated chair space within the salon, ensuring it remains clean, organized, and inviting for clients
Provide a wide range of hair services including hair styling, coloring, extensions, straight razor shaves, and hair threading
Offer expert consultations on color theory and hair care to help clients achieve their desired look
Manage client appointments efficiently using salon software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms
Deliver outstanding customer service by communicating clearly, listening attentively, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Upsell retail products related to hair care, skincare, makeup application, eyelash extensions, and nail care to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
Maintain strict sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations and salon policies
Mentor junior team members and front desk staff when needed to foster teamwork and professional growth

Experience

Proven experience in hair styling, barbering, or cosmetology with a strong portfolio of work demonstrating technical skills in hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care
Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client management
Familiarity with retail sales techniques including retail math and upselling strategies to maximize revenue opportunities
Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and team members effectively
Experience working with color theory principles and using tools like straight razors for grooming services
Prior store management or leadership experience is a plus but not required; a proactive attitude towards mentoring others is highly valued
Commitment to sanitation standards and ongoing professional development in areas like hair threading and advanced styling techniques
