Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chair Rental Hair Stylist role based at salon birdie in San Francisco, CA. The stylist will provide a full range of hair services, including consultations, cuts, color, styling, and maintenance services tailored to each client’s needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing appointments, maintaining a clean and hygienic workstation, and ensuring excellent guest service from greeting to checkout. The role involves building and retaining a personal client base, recommending appropriate products and services, and collaborating respectfully with other stylists in the shared space. As a chair rental professional, the stylist will handle aspects of their own business operations such as scheduling, client communication, and payment processing, while aligning with salon birdie’s standards and policies.
Qualifications
Current California cosmetology license and strong technical skills in cutting, coloring, styling, and hair treatments.Demonstrated experience in client consultation, personalized service, and maintaining long-term client relationships.Ability to manage individual business operations, including scheduling, client communication, and basic record-keeping.Commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards within the station and shared salon areas.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional, inclusive, and respectful approach to clients and colleagues.Comfort working independently in a chair-rental model, with a proactive approach to building and growing a client base.Previous salon or studio experience in a similar setting is beneficial; familiarity with local San Francisco clientele is a plus.Flexibility to work full-time hours, including peak times, and reliability in maintaining agreed schedules.
