ABOUT BLUSHING BRIDE GLAM

Blushing Bride Glam is a luxury, fully mobile bridal hair and makeup company specializing in romantic, soft glam, timeless beauty and an elevated wedding-day experience.

We travel directly to our brides and their wedding parties, providing professional beauty services at venues, hotels, homes, and getting-ready locations.

But we're about more than just beautiful hair and makeup.

We believe a bride's beauty team should bring calm, confidence, professionalism, and organization into the room. Wedding mornings can be emotional and fast-paced, and we want our artists to be the people who make the morning feel easier—not more stressful.

As we continue growing throughout Grand Rapids, MI and surrounding areas, we're looking for talented beauty professionals who want to be part of a professional, supportive, team-oriented bridal company.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

✨ Bridal Makeup Artists

✨ Cosmetologists / Multi-Service Beauty Professionals

You don't have to specialize exclusively in bridal. We are looking for professionals who are confident in their skills, willing to learn, and excited to work in the wedding industry.

Our ideal team member is:

✨ Licensed and/or appropriately certified for the services they provide, as required by applicable law

✨ Experienced in bridal, formal, event, salon, or special-event beauty

✨ Comfortable working with different hair textures, lengths, densities, skin tones, ages, and beauty preferences

✨ Reliable and punctual—you understand that a wedding morning cannot simply be “made up” if you're late

✨ Organized and able to manage your time while working alongside other artists

✨ Calm, friendly, personable, and professional in high-pressure environments

✨ Comfortable traveling to different wedding venues, hotels, homes, and getting-ready locations

✨ Able to work independently while also functioning well as part of a larger beauty team

✨ Comfortable communicating professionally with brides, wedding parties, planners, photographers, venues, and fellow artists

✨ Willing to follow BBG's professional standards, client experience expectations, sanitation requirements, and event procedures

✨ Someone who genuinely enjoys making people feel beautiful and cared for

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

As a Blushing Bride Glam artist, you may provide:

* Bridal hair styling

* Bridal makeup

* Hair and makeup for bridesmaids, mothers, family members, and other members of the wedding party

* Bridal previews/trials

* Touch-ups and finishing services

* Other beauty services offered by BBG within your licensing and skill set

You may work independently or alongside other BBG artists depending on the size and needs of the wedding.

WHAT WE OFFER✨ FLEXIBILITY

This is a 1099 freelance contractor position, meaning you have flexibility to accept the weddings and assignments that fit your availability and business needs.

You are not required to work every weekend.

However, once you accept a BBG wedding, we expect you to honor that commitment.

✨ COMPETITIVE PAY

Our current standard compensation is:

60% of the applicable service price + 20% tip per service

Typical wedding-day earnings can range from approximately $300–$700+, depending on the number and type of services assigned.

Bridal previews/trials are compensated separately according to BBG's current preview rates.

✨ WE HANDLE THE LOGISTICS

You focus on what you do best—creating beautiful work and taking care of the client.

BBG handles the majority of the booking, client communication, scheduling, contracts, invoicing, and wedding-day logistics.

✨ A TEAM ENVIRONMENT

You won't be thrown into a wedding morning completely on your own.

You'll have access to a team of artists and BBG management for support, questions, scheduling needs, and unexpected situations.

✨ WEDDING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Working with BBG gives you the opportunity to build your bridal portfolio, work alongside other wedding professionals, and gain experience in one of the most exciting areas of the beauty industry.

✨ ROOM TO GROW

As you gain experience with BBG, there may be opportunities for additional responsibilities, specialized services, leadership opportunities, training, and increased booking opportunities.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM OUR ARTISTS

Bridal beauty requires more than technical skill.

We expect every BBG artist to understand that you are representing a brand—not just yourself.

Our artists are expected to:

* Arrive prepared and on time

* Have the tools and products necessary to perform their assigned services

* Maintain a clean, sanitary, and professional workstation

* Dress appropriately for a luxury wedding environment

* Communicate promptly and professionally

* Respect the client's home, hotel, venue, belongings, and wedding party

* Stay calm when timelines change or unexpected situations occur

* Work efficiently without sacrificing quality

* Follow BBG's wedding-day procedures

* Respect fellow artists and other wedding vendors

* Provide an exceptional client experience from start to finish

Reliability is just as important to us as talent.

A beautiful portfolio doesn't make up for someone who is late, unprepared, difficult to communicate with, or unreliable.

REQUIREMENTS

Required:

Must be legally permitted and appropriately licensed/certified to perform the services you provide
Reliable transportation
Reliable cell phone and communication
Ability to travel to wedding locations
Weekend availability
Professional beauty kit and equipment appropriate for your services
Strong professionalism and communication skills
Ability to work independently
Portfolio of work

Newer artists are welcome to apply if they have strong foundational skills, a professional attitude, and a portfolio demonstrating their abilities.
