Duties

Assist senior stylists with braiding, hair extensions, and styling techniques to enhance client satisfaction
Learn and apply best practices in sanitation and salon safety standards to ensure a clean and welcoming environment
Support retail sales efforts by recommending hair care products, hair extensions, and styling tools to clients
Engage with clients through effective communication, understanding their needs and preferences for personalized service
Participate in training sessions on color theory, hair coloring, and advanced styling methods
Help maintain salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management
Contribute to store management tasks including inventory organization and retail displays

Requirements

Enthusiasm for learning about hair styling, braiding, and the beauty industry at large
Strong communication skills with the ability to connect confidently with clients
Basic knowledge of salon software platforms like MINDBODY is a plus but not required—training will be provided
Familiarity with sanitation procedures and salon safety standards
Experience working in customer service or retail environments is advantageous
Interest or experience in cosmetology, barbering, or related fields such as nail care or eyelash extensions is beneficial
Ability to work well within a team and take direction from senior staff
