The booth renter is an independent beauty professional responsible for providing hair and/or beauty services to their own clients while upholding salon standards for cleanliness, safety, and professionalism. Valid Maryland cosmetology, barber, or relevant beauty license, with the ability to perform services safely and in compliance with state regulations.Proven experience managing a personal client book, including appointment scheduling, client communication, and maintaining strong client relationships.Demonstrated commitment to sanitation, hygiene, and workstation organization to maintain a clean and professional environment.Basic business and financial skills, including setting service pricing, handling payments, and managing inventory and product usage.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-focused approach and the ability to work respectfully alongside other beauty professionals.Comfort using digital tools such as booking platforms and social media to market services and build clientele.Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated, with the ability to operate independently as an entrepreneur within the salon setting.Previous experience as a booth renter, independent stylist, or similar independent beauty role is preferred but not required.
