GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE
The Beauty Stylist engages with guests, assessing their hair care needs and recommending tailored products and services. You will provide high-quality professional services with a focus on enhancing the guest's overall look. Support the Experience Manager (EM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM) by concentrating on performance, guest service, and procedural compliance. This role demands a passion for beauty, exceptional guest service skills, and a willingness to learn about product knowledge.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance

Perform various hair services, including haircuts, coloring, treatments, styling, updos, and makeup applications.Achieve weekly sales goals averaging $800 through exceptional service and contribute to overall store sales targets.Exhibit business savvy by recognizing growth opportunities.Engage in product demonstrations to enhance the guest experience.Assist with in-store events and promotions to elevate guest satisfaction.Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge to serve guests effectively.Maintain regular attendance to ensure service consistency.People
Build lasting relationships with guests through personalized consultations and service recommendations.Uphold high standards of customer service and salon presentation.Timely service for all guests, including walk-ins.Collaborate with skin therapists and the retail team to provide a well-rounded guest experience.Establish partnerships with peers and brand partners to enhance guest service.Promote the guest loyalty program, including the app benefits.Participate in mandatory training for continuous professional growth.Process
Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies and standards.Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines during all services.Follow established protocols for a consistent guest experience.Utilize booking systems for Return services and events.Communicate supply needs to maintain guest readiness.Maintain salon cleanliness and operational standards.Comply with the Ulta Beauty dress code.Protect company assets through effective loss prevention practices.Perform other operational tasks as needed.Ulta Beauty is proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer. JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Must possess a cosmetology license.Experience
Previous salon experience preferred.Skills
Proficiency in various salon techniques and services.Ability to use salon equipment and chemicals safely.Skills in product demonstrations and sales.Strong communication skills.Able to work independently and collaboratively.Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Flexible schedule availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Frequent mobility throughout the shift.Ability to lift and move items up to 10 lbs.Frequent bending and reaching during work.Must be able to stand for extended periods.Coordination and manipulation of objects are required.

The pay for this position starts at $18.00/hour, with opportunities for additional earnings through services compensation and tips. Benefits for full-time positions include paid time off, health, dental, and vision coverage, among others.
