GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Beauty Stylist engages with guests, consulting on their hair care needs and recommending products and services. You will focus on delivering quality professional services that enhance the guest's total look, while collaborating with the Experience Manager (EM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM) to elevate service sales, guest satisfaction, and operational processes. A passion for the beauty industry and exceptional guest service skills are essential in this role.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Performance

Deliver comprehensive hair services including haircuts, coloring, treatments, styling, and makeup applications.Achieve a weekly sales goal of $800 while delivering outstanding guest experiences to contribute to store success.Demonstrate business awareness and seize opportunities for growth.Conduct product demonstrations to enhance the guest experience and drive sales.Assist in executing in-store events and promotions that enrich the guest experience.Stay updated on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.Maintain regular attendance. PeopleBuild guest relationships through personalized consultations and service recommendations.Uphold high standards of customer service and salon presentation.Efficiently serve all guests, including walk-ins.Collaborate with skin therapists and retail teams for a holistic guest experience.Nurture professional relationships with peers and brand partners to elevate guest service.Communicate the benefits of the guest loyalty program.Participate in required training sessions for continuous development. ProcessAdhere to Ulta Beauty policies and ensure compliance with industry standards.Follow hygiene and safety protocols before, during, and after services.Utilize booking systems effectively to manage guest appointments.Maintain communication with the EM regarding supply needs to ensure service readiness.Ensure cleanliness and organization of the salon and other designated areas.Abide by the Ulta Beauty dress code.Implement loss prevention strategies through exceptional guest service.Execute additional operational tasks as assigned.JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EducationCosmetology license required.ExperiencePrevious relevant salon experience is preferred.SkillsProficient in haircutting, hair coloring, styling, and makeup application.Skilled with salon equipment and products.Adept in recommending and selling beauty products.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Able to work independently and collaboratively.Capable of building and maintaining client relationships.SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTSFlexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
WORKING CONDITIONSFrequent movement and lifting during shifts.Ability to stand for extended periods.Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shifts.

The pay range for this position starts at $16.00 - $16.80 per hour or services pay as per the Company's Compensation Plan, based on qualifications and experience.
