Barber Hair Stylist

Lucky-7 Barber Salon is an award winning jewel of a shop located in the heart of Seattle's Wallingford quadrant (for over 20 years). We are not a corporate franchise or chop shop; we understand the need for expression integrated into artistic hair design. We deliver hand crafted artisan cuts in a laid back and creative environment.

We are looking for some new, motivated, talent hopefully with some clientele. Chair rental is also an option.

Our neighborhood vibe is friendly and eclectic; Lucky 7 receives a lot of foot traffic as our location is near the hustle and bustle of Retail shops including Ice Cream, Restaurants, Floral Shops, Bakery, coffee shops and a QFC. We are central to nearby schools and located on a major bus line. We also receive clientele from surrounding neighborhoods.

Duties

Provide professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and grooming consultations tailored to each client’s preferences.
Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools and workstations in accordance with health regulations.
Engage with clients through effective communication, understanding their desired look and offering expert recommendations on hair care products and services.
Upsell retail products such as hair care items, and grooming products to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
Assist with front desk responsibilities including appointment bookings, client check-in/out, and managing the overall flow of the salon environment.
Mentor junior stylists or apprentices by sharing techniques on hairstyling, color theory, and sanitation practices to foster team growth.

Skills

Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong background in barbering and hairstyling.
Knowledge of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for clients and staff.
Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with clients about their desired looks and product recommendations.
Strong store management abilities including retail math, upselling strategies, and front desk operations.
Ability to perform specialized services such as straight razor shaves
